Steven Yu is a Taiwanese American artist with a background in commercial storyboarding, graphic design, and graphic novels. Art education with an emphasis on real world application has always been important to him because it shows young artists how art directly impacts the world. Having spent the past 13+ years in both digital arts education and freelancing, Steven can attest that artmaking is never made in a vacuum, and instead it is made through conversations, collaborations, and community. Steven’s passion lies in visual storytelling and his ultimate goal is to help students tell their own stories as well as their communities through the craft of digital media.
