Ms. Perez, a proud native of Oakland with Mexican heritage, is dedicated to empowering young individuals to become advocates for themselves and fostering the development of inclusive communities.
With over a decade of experience in education, Ms. Perez has held various roles, including high school English teacher, academy director, student advisor, teacher coach, and middle school math teacher. She is now thrilled to add College Counselor to her repertoire. In addition to her teaching responsibilities, she serves as the co-president of CEFC, our district’s esteemed teacher union.
Ms. Perez holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the University of San Francisco and a Master of Arts degree from Mills College. Her master’s thesis, centered on engaging Latinx students, earned her the prestigious Social Justice award. She is excited to continue her dedicated work at Latitude.
